Tickets Now Available for Cavalier County Fair: the 41st Annual STM Dinner Auction

St. Thomas More will host its annual dinner auction fundraiser on Saturday, April 13. This year's event, themed "Cavalier County Fair," represents the 41st since it began in 1984.

Tickets to Cavalier County Fair include a seated dinner, hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, and plenty of fun with 400+ fellow STM supporters! Discounts are available for current STM parents, alumni under 30, and alumni over 70.

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on over 200 silent and live auction items. Past auction items have included suites for sporting events, private dinner tastings, and front-row seats for graduation. 

Bidding on silent auction items will begin on our GiveSmart website approximately one week before the event and will close on the evening of April 13. All STM supporters – including those unable to attend the event in person – may bid in the silent auction.

At the dinner auction, St. Thomas More presents the Chancellor Award, the school's highest honor, to an exceptional supporter who has demonstrated their commitment to Catholic education.

This year's event will honor Dr. Mary Voelker (SMA' 62). One of STM's biggest supporters, Mary served on the STM Board of Directors for six years and has faithfully invested in the Ray Van Beck Scholarship Endowment, named for her father, a 1936 Pio Nono graduate and recipient of the 2012 Chancellor Award.

Mary taught high school math and then worked at Wisconsin Gas Company for 22 years before establishing a management consulting practice and teaching at Marquette University. She believes that education is motivating for all and the key to elevating people to lead productive lives. These beliefs and values drive the choices in her career path and volunteer roles.
