Athletics Overview

Each year, over 50 percent of students participate in at least one sport. With both cut and non-cut sports, athletes of all levels are encouraged to participate even if they have no prior experience. St. Thomas More provides ample opportunities for student participation, and many students participate in numerous sports. Our coaches continually encourage our athletes to perform at their absolute best and teach them not only how to perform in their sport of choice but also how to excel as leaders and team members.

St. Thomas More is a part of the Metro Classic Conference. Our recently renovated Jerry Huennekens Gymnasium, featuring Rick Majerus Court, is a hub of our athletic program and serves as our indoor practice facility and field house for volleyball matches and basketball games. Our beautiful campus is large enough to offer practices and many competitions on our school grounds.

St. Thomas More believes that athletics, in conjunction with rigorous academics and spiritual development, can help our students develop leadership skills that will dramatically increase their chances of success in the next stage of their lives.
