A Legacy of Creativity: Celebrating Alumni Achievements

"You learn something about how the world works with the fine arts, and I don't think there is a better calling in life than doing that. We all need to learn how to live and really the fine arts help us to grow and to become more complete!" - George Lee Andrews, Actor (DB' 60)

St. Thomas More has a history spanning over 150 years in the making, and with that history, we have had alumni making strides in the world of fine arts and working to inspire and create a better world. In this blog, we will discuss the accomplishments and work our alums in the fine arts are doing to inspire the world.

Alums In the ARTS

George Lee Andrews
George Lee Andrews is a member of the Don Bosco Class of 1960, and he is an American actor and singer. He holds the Guinness world record for the most performances in the same Broadway show and his performance in the musical The Phantom of the Opera.
At Don Bosco, he was in the Glee Club, Theater, and Speech & Drama Club. He says his experience with the arts at Don Bosco made his time there so fulfilling. Don Bosco helped launch him into the career he has today!

Anthony Crivello
Anthony Crivello is a Tony Award Actor and a Thomas More Class of 1973 member. He is known for his vast range and skill on the screen and stage. He has starred in shows like Kiss of the Spider-Woman and Les Miserables!
While at Thomas More, Crivello was involved in musicals and plays. In addition to high school, he got involved with theater groups across the city, which helped him unite with others and form the bonds and connections that would make him the success he is today!

Holly Feldman

Holly Feldman is a member of the Thomas More class of 1995 and currently serves as managing director of The Northern Sky Theater in Door County, where she works behind the scenes to bring the magic of theater to tourists and Wisconsinites alike!

When she didn't make the volleyball team during her time as a student at Thomas More, she auditioned for the school play instead, and it was from there that she fell in love with the art form. She also learned the importance of taking care of audiences as a student, and she uses the skills she learned in high school in her career today!

A Legacy of Fine Arts

As we've seen, St. Thomas More has a rich history of nurturing talented individuals who have gone on to make significant contributions to the world of the arts. From Broadway stars to theater administrators, our alums have demonstrated the power of creative expression and the importance of pursuing one's passions.

The experiences they gained at St. Thomas More, whether through formal arts programs or extracurricular activities, have undoubtedly played a vital role in their success. By fostering a supportive and inspiring environment, our school has helped to shape the next generation of artists and innovators.

Let us continue to celebrate our alum's achievements and encourage current students to explore their artistic potential. Together, we can ensure that the legacy of the arts at St. Thomas More endures for generations to come.
