MORE Robotics

Comprised of ambitious young men and women in grades nine to 12, MORE Robotics is a member of For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST), a global nonprofit organization that motivates young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Under the guidance of professional and college mentors, MORE Robotics students apply what they have learned in the classroom to create innovative solutions for real-world problems. By competing in FIRST’s meticulously designed field games, presenting their work to judges, and fielding questions from industry experts, students in MORE Robotics deepen their understanding of STEM while cultivating lifelong personal and professional skills, such as project management, problem-solving, leadership, resiliency, and communication. Since the team’s inception in 2006, MORE Robotics has advanced to World Championship 11 times and won the Chairman’s Award, which honors exceptional community impact, in five competitions.

Along with investing in the future workforce, your support for MORE Robotics includes many benefits, including having your organization’s logo on our robot, official team uniforms, and printed materials; mentions on the St. Thomas More’s social media pages, which reach over 5,000 potential customers; and a visit by the team’s robot to your workplace!

You can read more about MORE Robotics in the Spring 2019 issue of the STM Spirit magazine.
