Additional Requirements Once Selected:

Potential members selected as STM Ambassadors will then become Associate Ambassadors.  Associates must complete TWO training sessions, which will provide them with the knowledge on how to be an official St. Thomas More Ambassador.

STM Ambassador Expectations & Requirements:
  • Must be an academically successful STM student (GPA of 2.5 or better)
  • Work the STM Open House
  • Be a shadow host and “Big Buddy”
  • Be neat, clean and professional in appearance
  • Be responsible, punctual, and knowledgeable
  • Have a loud, clear and pleasant speaking voice
  • Be energetic and have an outgoing personality

Primary Duties

An STM Ambassador is a volunteer who participates in roughly 3 hours of training in order to effectively serve STM in four major capacities:

  • Recruitment of potential students
  • Orientation of new students
  • Advising of new and current students
  • Provide service to the STM community

Secondary Duties

An Ambassador also must promote spirit and unity among STM students.

Ambassadors will be responsible for checking their school e-mail account on a daily basis.  Since ambassadors will be out of school for a length of time, it is possible that you could miss 2 or 3 class periods.  Class work takes priority over recruitment visits.

Congratulations to the Cavalier Powerlifting Team! On Saturday, seven Cavaliers competed in a powerlifting meet at Cudahy High School. Five of the seven athletes medaled, and two of those students are going to state!

“Coach Litscher and I are proud of these student athletes for the hard work and dedication to training," said powerlifting coach and STM science teacher Mike Fricke. "Strength training has a unique way of instilling confidence and growth in young men and women, and in the end that is the most important outcome anyone would want of our students at St. Thomas More High School.”

Stay tuned for more updates on our powerlifting team as some of them compete in Germantown in February and then at the state meet in Appleton on March 2 and 3.
