Special Events

We are always excited to bring members of the St. Thomas More family together.  There are several annual events that celebrate our legacy and provide for our future.  We hope to see you at one of our special events soon!

TMO – Thomas More Open

The annual Thomas More Open golf outing takes place on the second Monday of August each year. It is a scramble event and the proceeds from the outing support our Legacy Scholarship.

The Legacy Scholarship, created in 2007, is awarded to qualifying children and grandchildren of our alumni from Don Bosco, Pio Nono, St. Francis Minor Seminary, St. Mary’s Academy and Thomas More. The success of our event directly affects the number of scholarships awarded each year. The TMO has raised over $175,000 for the Legacy Scholarship. Please consider supporting our event as we help to carry on the tradition of Catholic education.

Norb Wishowski Alumni Run

Norb Wishowski was a dedicated and influential teacher and coach at Thomas More and Pio Nono High Schools for over 30 years. As head cross country coach at Thomas More, Coach Wishowski guided the Cavaliers to ten consecutive Metro Conference championships and six WISAA State championships. In 1992, Coach was inducted into the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame. It is a great honor to have our 5K alumni run named for him.

The Norb Wishowski Alumni Run takes place on the second Saturday of August each year at Greene Park in St. Francis. Please contact Director of Development Dan Steffes at [email protected] with any questions.

Started in 1993 by Joe Krysiak (TM ‘88), it takes place over the Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving each year. It regularly draws in at least 15 teams and well over 100 alumni. Our former Lady Cavalier basketball players are invited back to play in a game hosted by the STM girls’ basketball program. Teams are split by age, with younger alumni taking on older. This game is run by STM head girls’ basketball coach, Brian Krysiak (TM ‘98).

Sheepshead Tournament

STM’s annual Sheepshead Tournament is open to anyone who wants to enjoy cards and community. It takes place on the third Saturday of January each year. Dinner Auction

The Dinner Auction is the biggest event of the year at STM. With a sellout crowd in 2019, we are excited for another great event on Saturday, April 2, 2022!

The Dinner Auction is led by an amazing committee of volunteers and it features an incredible lineup of silent auction items, games, raffles and live auction items.

We also present the Chancellor Award each year at this event!
