Rev. Robert Novotny (SF ’43)
/  Rev. Robert Novotny (SF ’43)

Father Robert Novotny is a 1943 graduate of St. Francis Minor Seminary.  While teaching at Pio Nono High School he had almost the entire student body involved in chorus, band and orchestra.  Father Novotny truly established the Fine Arts program at Pio Nono as one of the best in the area.

He initiated the start of musicals and drama performed by students, which led to them, as alumni, forming their own non-profit community group entitled “Pioneer Productions.”

As a teacher, he continued to work at DeSales and today continues to be a major influence to many of his former students.  His energy, wit, education and drive served as a beacon for many and the lessons and talents they learned while under his tutelage prepared hundreds of young men for their respective career endeavors.
