Fine Arts
 /  Fine Arts

The goal of the Fine Arts Department is to give the opportunity to participate in music and/or visual art to all students. Fine Arts classes create well-rounded individuals with aesthetic and critical thinking skills. Problem solving and decision making in these areas help prepare students to meet the demands necessary at the post-secondary level.

Students will:

  • Actively construct knowledge and pursue understanding, rather than passively receiving and memorizing knowledge
  • Try out multiple solutions to a given problem
  • Develop self awareness as learners

Congratulations to the Cavalier Powerlifting Team! On Saturday, seven Cavaliers competed in a powerlifting meet at Cudahy High School. Five of the seven athletes medaled, and two of those students are going to state!

“Coach Litscher and I are proud of these student athletes for the hard work and dedication to training," said powerlifting coach and STM science teacher Mike Fricke. "Strength training has a unique way of instilling confidence and growth in young men and women, and in the end that is the most important outcome anyone would want of our students at St. Thomas More High School.”

Stay tuned for more updates on our powerlifting team as some of them compete in Germantown in February and then at the state meet in Appleton on March 2 and 3.
