A message from Tom Knitter
I was honored to receive a call last summer informing me that I had been chosen to receive the Chancellor Award at the 2020 St. Thomas More Dinner Auction. In my 50-plus years of affiliation with this school, I’ve presented this award many times and witnessed its presentation many times, as well. I am humbled by my inclusion in this group of folks who have exhibited outstanding dedication to St. Thomas More.
After much deliberation, due to the public health emergency declared in the State of Wisconsin, STM has made the difficult decision to postpone the 37th Annual Dinner Auction – The More-ing 20s. My wife, Josie, and I are sad to miss this opportunity to reconnect with so many of you, but I understand and support the school’s decision wholeheartedly. The health of the STM family must be top priority.
I wish to thank the committee members that have worked so hard to pull together everything for this event. I thank the sponsors, advertisers, and guests for their excitement to support a school so near and dear to me and to so many others.
STM is working on alternative courses of action, so please stay tuned for further announcements. In this unprecedented situation, STM is evaluating all options, and I ask for your patience as they consider the many moving parts involved in this decision.
Thank you for all the support and kindness you have shown me since this award was announced. I look forward to receiving the award at a future date. My prayers are with you and with St. Thomas More High School. I wish you good health and God’s blessings.
In Christ’s Peace,
