St. Thomas More High School announces the addition of Thomas More 1976 alumnus and alumni parent John Jaeger III to the school’s board of directors. Currently Vice President of Commercial and Retail Lending at Tri City National Bank, Jaeger brings over 35 years of professional experience in the financial lending industry to the St. Thomas More board.
“We are grateful to John for answering the call to serve as a Director at STM,” said STM president Mary McIntosh. “His background and experience in banking and finance will be of tremendous help to our leadership team and to our Finance committee. We have been blessed with a very strong governing board of directors, committed to Catholic education; John’s presence will complement their diverse skills and talents, enabling our school to continue its upward trajectory.”
The Jaeger family has long been active in the St. Thomas More community. John and his wife, Karen, sent their children, John (STM ’10), Jennifer (STM ’12), and Peter (STM ’14) to STM, where they excelled in both academics and extracurriculars. Before joining the STM board, John served as treasurer for the Cavalier Athletic Association, a volunteer advisory group that supports athletics at St. Thomas More. John and Karen also served as cabinet members for St. Thomas More’s 2016 capital campaign: Strong Tradition. Bold Vision.
“I am the product of a Catholic education, as are my three children, so anything that I can do to continue, and further enhance, the tradition and strength of a Catholic education in our community, I am all in,” said Jaeger. “St. Thomas More High School is a land of opportunity. Because of the school size, if you want to do something, you will very likely get your chance at STM.”
Jaeger’s volunteer leadership extends to his parish and local community as well. A parishioner at Divine Mercy in South Milwaukee, Jaeger serves as a parish trustee, financial and pastoral council member, and Mass lector. Additionally, Jaeger is the board treasurer for South Milwaukee Little League, an organization he has been involved with in some capacity for 31 years.
Comprised of dedicated volunteers from all walks of life, the St. Thomas More High School Board of Directors play a crucial role in the success and vitality of the school. Serving as the school’s most trusted advisors, the Board of Directors help form school policy, adopt changes and new initiatives, and offer their professional and personal expertise to further the mission of St. Thomas More High School.
